Mississippi State's unprecedented run last season began with the huge upset win in Death Valley in a result few outside of Starkville could have predicted. The Bulldogs didn't just steal one from LSU, they dominated them physically on both lines of scrimmage and destroyed the Tigers' confidence early in the season, sending them on a downward midseason spiral.
The narrative entering this season's contest will be very different, as LSU has yet to play a game and many are expecting the Bulldogs to fade back into the SEC West cellar after their 10-win season.
