Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians was named a second team Preseason All-American by Athlon.
The junior guard ranked second in the Southeastern Conference last season averaging 17.1 points per game. She also ranked in the SEC top 20 in rebounding (5.8) and steals (1.7).
Vivians was named a WBCA All-American honorable mention last season as well as a first team All-SEC selection.
Athlon Sports ranked the Bulldogs seventh nationally in its preseason publication while rival Lindy’s Sports has Vic Schaefer‘s squad at No. 12 coming off its Sweet 16 season a year ago.
