UConn remains No. 1 in The Associated Press women's basketball Top 25 after an easy victory in its lone game last week.
The Huskies routed LSU 86-40 on Dec. 21 with star Breanna Stewart missing the game because of a sprained ankle. UConn faced No. 6 Maryland on Monday night in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden.
With most teams on break for the holidays, there wasn't much change in the Top 25. South Carolina, Notre Dame, Baylor and Texas followed the Huskies.
