Things just got a bit complicated for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and their 2016 season. Per Michael Bonner of the Clarion Ledger, the Tulane Green Wave have canceled an agreement regarding a game to be played between both squads at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville on September 24, 2016.
Now, Mississippi State is in a rough position. The Bulldogs already have two out-of-conference road games in 2016, against BYU and Louisiana Tech, and a road game in place of the canceled home matchup against Tulane would result in seven road games that season.
There’s still plenty of time for this situation to be resolved, and Campus Sports will update it as new developments come to light.
