The collection of fan bases inside the SEC are among the most devoted in the world. Some of these fans tie their own personal identity to their favorite team, erasing the lines where fan ends and person begins.
One fan who has become synonymous with the SEC school he cheers for is Steven Ray — the Mississippi State super-fan known as “Stingray.”
What began as a simple video rant submitted to the “Paul Finebaum Show” mushroomed into a brand.
“I watched a few rants on the show and — no offense, but they were absolutely horrible,” Ray told me recently.
