The baseball season, as we all know, ended on June 12th for Mississippi State fans, but that does not mean Rooker hasn’t still been hitting homeruns. A year that started red hot for Rooker has kept going, highlighted by the Collegiate Baseball Player of the Year award, the Ferriss trophy, and becoming a member of the Twins as a first-round draft pick... but he just hit a grand slam. You can add SEC Male Athlete of the Year to a long list of awards and achievements for him. Rooker became the only SEC player to ever have at least 20 HR, 30 2B, and 75 RBIs in one season, making him a top option for the award.
