Mississippi State takes on Miami (Ohio) in the St. Petersburg Bowl on Monday, giving Bulldogs fans a chance to celebrate a seventh consecutive bowl appearance and a chance to see record-setting wide receiver Fred Ross one last time.
Ross, a former four-star recruit from Tyler, Texas, signed with Mississippi State in 2013, choosing the Bulldogs over the likes of Oklahoma State and Baylor. Without a doubt, it has been a great fit for Ross and for Mississippi State.
Ross — who already has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl — arrived in Starkville as a highly touted wide receiver and will leave as the most decorated Bulldogs pass catcher in history.
