Here are five takeaways from Mississippi State’s 28-21 double-overtime loss at BYU on Friday night.
The Bulldogs showed a lot more fight than they did in last week’s loss to Auburn but still fell short and fell to 2-4.
Aeris Williams needs more touches
The Bulldogs have struggled to get constant production from their tailbacks, but may have found their answer Friday night. With senior starter Brandon Holloway out with an injury, the Bulldogs turned to sophomore Aeris Williams; he had 21 carries for 82 yards. Williams ran well between the tackles and moved the chains on several key runs throughout the game.
