After starting the game near 6:45 PM CDT, the Bulldogs were able to complete three innings of play in the 2015 Lafayette Regional. Sadly, that’s where the story ends for now as the Bulldogs will have to go to sleep unsure of how many games they will be playing tomorrow. The original plan was to play the elimination game that the Bulldogs were in, then the winner of that game would face Baylor for another elimination game to determine who would face host-school University of Louisiana for a trip to the Super Regionals.
That was a great plan until lightning struck at 7:56 PM, activating the lightning-safety protocol in use by NCAA member institutions.
