Let me be clear, I don’t like this idea at all. The reason Dak Prescott was called Dak was because this was a long standing truncation of his name before Prescott ever came to Mississippi State.
I have yet to hear anyone in the media or associated with the Mississippi State baseball team refer to Dakota Hudson as anything but Dakota. If he has ever been called Dak, it hasn’t become common knowledge.
