Publications have been doing their SEC Power Rankings now for about a month. I really didn’t understand the need to put out a set of Power Rankings before the season until we got just a little bit closer to the actual games.
So now that we have arrived at game week, it’s that time again. The first week of Power Rankings is always the most difficult. How do you stack people up? Do you go with your gut? Do you make it resemble another publication?
I decided to average the AP and Coaches Poll. For those that didn’t make the poll, I’ll include where they fell in the “Others Receiving Votes” category.
