Going from the worst team in the SEC to the best team in the SEC in the span of one season is no small feat. Most of the time, the team returns the bulk of the worst team’s roster, so having that group of players make such a remarkable turnaround is an amazing accomplishment.
It’s happened a few times in the SEC since the calendar flipped over to 2000. With each time it has happened, the accomplishment has been just as remarkable.
For the purposes of this post, I am simply listing them in chronological order. It is difficult to compare how impressive the feat was across sports.
