Mississippi State’s defense will have an entirely new look in 2016.
Dan Mullen‘s defensive staff will be a complete overhaul as his final returning coach, David Turner, has accepted a position at Texas A&M according to a report from the Clarion Ledger.
Turner was recently promoted as the Bulldogs’ assistant head coach and concludes his second stint in Starkville after three seasons. He previously served as defensive line coach from 2007-09 as well.
Turner is the fourth and final defensive coach to leave Mullen’s staff since last season joining defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Manny Diaz, who left for the same positions at Miami, cornerbacks coach Deshea Townsend, who left for the same position with the Tennessee Titans, and safeties coach Tony Hughes, who is now the head coach at Jackson State.
