Report: Ole Miss audio tape not ‘smoking gun’ implicating others of cheating

There is supposedly an audio tape in existence of Mississippi State linebacker Leo Lewis’ mother speaking about her son’s recruitment, asking Ole Miss for money and saying the two had received impermissible NCAA benefits from other schools.

AL.com reports that a tape of Lewis’ mother does exist, however, the tape does not include her asking the Rebels for money or mentioning other schools, including Mississippi State. AL.com further reports its source on the details of the tape says the NCAA was aware of the tape prior to releasing its most recent Notice of Allegations against Ole Miss.
