Long-suffering Mississippi State basketball fans may soon have something to cheer about.
Gary Parrish of CBS Sports cited sources that Callaway five-star Malik Newman will commit to the Bulldogs on Friday.
Parrish stated that his sources were from multiple staffs involved in the recruitment of Newman, two of which said that Newman’s commitment to MSU is “done”.
Courtney Cronin of the Clarion Ledger quoted Newman after the CBS Sports report surfaced that he had not committed and was still deciding between Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Kansas and Kentucky.
Newman is expected to announce his decision Friday at noon streamed live exclusively on the Clarion Ledger’s website.
