Mississippi State may be without one of its best defensive players for the remainder of the season.
News circulated Thursday morning that senior cornerback Will Redmond had suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament. MSU will not comment on its injury situation until prior to kickoff against Kentucky on Saturday but sources have told the Daily Journal that Redmond has sustained a knee injury.
The loss of Redmond would be a crushing blow to the Bulldogs’ secondary. Redmond is a projected first round NFL Draft pick, leads the team with two interceptions and is a team captain.
