Freshman Guard Quinndary Weatherspoon has proved to be worth every bit of his four-star recruiting ranking, and perhaps even more to Mississippi State this season.
Head coach Ben Howland has recently lamented his decision not to start Quinndary Weatherspoon until the Tennessee game a few weeks ago. Since “Q” was inserted into the starting lineup he’s been on fire to the tune of 18.4 PPG, 7 RPG and 1.8 steals per game. In the Bulldogs’ win at Missouri he had 18 points and 14 rebounds.
State has been guard-heavy all year with Gavin Ware not getting much help under the basket.
