Prescott goes out a winner

In the process, the Bulldogs won their 19th game in the past two seasons, setting a school record for wins in a two-year stretch. Prescott, of course, has been the main reason for the success.

“I don’t think there’s words to really describe what he’s done for this program,” Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen said afterward. “I think he’s taken a university and a football program and changed the way people think about it.”

Prescott ends his career as arguably the greatest Mississippi State football player of all time. Prescott finishes with 11,897 total yards — third-most in SEC history — and 111 touchdowns — fourth-most in league history.
