Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his superb performance against Arkansas over the weekend.
Prescott became the first player in SEC history to rack up 550-plus yards of offense and seven touchdowns in the same game. The senior from Haughton, La., finished with 554 yards, which was more offensive yardage than any team in the conference accumulated last week.
Prescott completed 38 of 50 passes for 508 yards, five touchdowns and an interception while also rushing for 46 yards on 15 carries and two more scores against the Razorbacks.
