No. 6 Mississippi State puts on offensive clinic, routs New Orleans 106-51

Led by Jessika Carter and JaMya Ming-Young, the Bulldogs showcased their more than lethal offensive prowess.

Carter dominated the paint with 23 points and 10 boards. She took care of the ball and stayed out of foul trouble. If Carter continues to do so, the Bulldogs will only become more dangerous. She looks comfortable and confident as a paint presence. Expect similar performances going forward.

Perhaps the biggest surprise for the Bulldogs is Mingo-Young, who has fit right into the starting lineup. She recorded 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Clearly, Mingo-Young has bought into coach Nikki McCray-Penson’s system and has benefited thus far.
