STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) Victoria Vivians scored 21 of her 22 points in the second half and freshman Teaira McCowan had her first career double-double, helping No. 10 Mississippi State rout Grambling 107-43 on Saturday.
The 6-foot-7 McCowan finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Mississippi State (2-0) used its size as an advantage in the first half. McCowan had 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocks by halftime, when MSU led 50-26.
Darae Taylor led Grambling (1-3) with 10 points.
Vivians hit three 3-point shots and scored 13 points in the third when the Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 29-5.
