Mississippi State redshirt defensive end Anfernee Mullins was arrested Friday on a simple assault charge by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department.

No other details were made available on Mullins’ arrest, which the Clarion Ledger first reported.

Mullins, a Aliceville, Alabama native, redshirted this past season. The 6-foot-3, 259-pounder has spent the spring learning the new “viper” position in Peter Sirmon‘s defense. He made two tackles including one for loss and a sack during State’s first spring scrimmage last Saturday.

Former Bulldogs Dak Prescott, P.J. Jones and Chris Jones have also been arrested in the last month.
