Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen appears to be exploring his options.
Multiple media outlets reported on Tuesday that Mullen interviewed this week for the head coaching vacancy at the University of Miami.
According to the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mullen, former Miami head coach Butch Davis and former Rutgers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano had all had talks with the Hurricanes about the job.
Mark Richt, who was fired as Georgia head coach on Sunday, was also expected to interview for the opening on Tuesday. Richt is a former quarterback for the Hurricanes.
