Mullen confirms Redmond has torn ACL

Another Mississippi State football player has gone down with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

After reports indicating such earlier in the week, MSU head coach Dan Mullen confirmed today on the SEC Network that MSU senior cornerback Will Redmond suffered the injury and will likely be out the remainder of the season.

Redmond is the third Bulldog to suffer a torn ACL this month. Safety Kendrick Market and linebacker Dez Harris have also gone down with the same ailment.

Mississippi State would not comment on Redmond’s status earlier in the week, except to say the school would unveil any players that will be out prior to Saturday’s 6:30 p.
