MSU has a colorful group of linebackers manning the middle of the defense. Not because of their personalities, which I’m sure are charming and witty, but because of their names: Brown, Green and Gray.
Linebacker has been a position of strength for a while at MSU, and especially during Dan Mullen’s tenure. Think about names like Chris White, K.J. Wright, Cameron Lawrence, Matt Wells, Benardrick McKinney, Beniquez Brown and so on. The headliners for 2016 are:
- Richie Brown
- Gerri Green
- J.T. Gray
All have names you’d find in a box of coloring crayons.
