Each of Mississippi State’s 16 varsity sports have excelled in the NCAA’s annual report of Academic Progress Rates (APR), the association announced Wednesday afternoon.
In the multiyear rate based on 2012-15, men’s golf paced Mississippi State with a 994, followed by softball at 992.
In addition, MSU had a record eight teams post a perfect 1,000 for the past academic year — men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s basketball and softball.
“Our student-athletes make the classroom a priority, and the APR numbers reflect their hard work,” MSU Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said.
