Mississippi State opens Southeastern Conference play against Texas A&M at home on Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. on the SEC Network.
It will pit new men’s basketball coach Ben Howland against former Bulldogs coach Rick Stansbury, who is now an assistant for the Aggies.
MSU will hit the road for its next two games at Arkansas (Jan. 9) and Kentucky (Jan. 12).
“It’s both a very challenging and exciting schedule in the SEC,” Howland said. “We have five different home-and-homes with extremely strong programs, and the other eight games are equally as tough.
