Dan Mullen added the 13th member of his 2017 class on Monday as Lafayette’s Tyler Williams committed to play cornerback at Mississippi State.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder chose the Bulldogs over offers from Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama and UAB.
Williams made 25 tackles for the Commodores as a junior last season in addition to two interceptions, seven pass deflections and a fumble recovery. Offensively, he made six catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns and also had a 1-yard touchdown run.
Williams is the 11th prospect to pledge to MSU from a Magnolia State school in the upcoming class.
