Mississippi State added its third commitment in the last two weeks as Pascagoula defensive tackle James Jackson made his decision known.
The massive 6-foot-3, 345-pounder picked the Bulldogs over an offer from Texas-San Antonio and interest from Louisiana-Lafayette, Memphis, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
As a junior, Jackson made 30 tackles including two for loss in addition to playing offensive line for the Panthers.
Jackson is the seventh member of MSU’s 2017 class, which is ranked 22nd nationally.
