The Mississippi State Baseball team entered 2015 with lofty expectations. Many saw a young team with a lot of potential, and the Bulldogs were ranked high in most of the preseason polls. Things started off great, as the Bulldogs got off to a 13-0 start.
Then the bottom fell out.
John Cohen’s club won only 11 of the remaining 41 games on the schedule. The team posted an 8-22 record in SEC play, and finished dead last in the division and overall. Not only was there no NCAA Regional, there would be no SEC Tournament as well since only 12 teams in the league qualify for the SEC Tournament played in Hoover, AL.
