What was supposed to be a “regular” Saturday game at BYU for Mississippi State has turned into a Friday night contest.

The schools announced Monday that the game has been moved from October 15 to October 14. The kickoff time will be announced at a later date, and the game will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.

This will be the first time Mississippi State has played at BYU since 2000. In addition, the Bulldogs have not played a Friday night game since the 2011 Music City Bowl.

The trip is the front end of a home-and-home series between the programs.
