Mississippi State’s biggest needs, top targets on the 2018 recruiting trail

Related Topics: Wide receiver, Junior college

Mississippi State signed a junior college-heavy group of recruits in 2017, with nine of its 24 signees transferring in from junior colleges.

The Bulldogs shouldn’t have to go so JC-heavy in 2018.

Here’s a look at the biggest recruiting priorities for the ’18 class for the Bulldogs.

1. Wide receiver: The Bulldogs only signed one wide receiver in the 2017 class and with Gabe Myles and Donald Gray seniors this fall, this position will be a focal point for 2018. Freshman Jonnas Spivey transferred and other underclassmen haven’t risen to the occasion, making wide receiver depth thin and uncertain.
