BATON ROUGE, La. — The man who uncovered Hugh Freeze’s now-infamous phone call to a Florida-based escort service has received death threats in the days since the story broke.
He also hints there is more to come with the story.
Steve Robertson, a self-described lifelong Mississippi State fan who writes for the Bulldogs-centric Scout.com site called GenesPages.com, combed through Freeze’s phone records and provided damaging information to Houston Nutt’s attorney.
“We’ve had some death threats,” Robertson told me on my radio show Tuesday. “My attorney now is in contact with the district attorney’s office and we’re going to have a meeting with the FBI about some of this stuff.
