Mississippi State Women’s Basketball: Who will be the X-factor against Georgia?

Mississippi State kicks off conference play in Athens, as guard Aliyah Matharu will play an integral role in the Bulldogs’ offense.

Matharu has been a spark off the bench thus far. She is an offensive weapon with speed and range. As she is averaging 7.6 points thus far, Matharu is fresh off a 10 point performance. She is earning the trust of coach Nikki McCray-Penson and will likely see more minutes.

Though a bit streaky, Matharu is a scorer at heart. She can get through the lane and is willing to pull up from anywhere on the floor.
