Mississippi State’s defense didn’t play great, but it was good enough to keep the Bulldogs within striking distance in Baton Rouge on Saturday night. But the offense couldn’t get it done and the Bulldogs fell 23-20 to drop to 1-2.
The Bulldogs had just 14 first downs and a paltry 270 yards of total offense. As expected, the absence of Dak Prescott is evident and an offensive leader needs to emerge as the Bulldogs head to Massachusetts this week.
