Mississippi State spring preview

To extend that bowl streak to seven years and to continue the forward momentum that Dan Mullen’s Bulldogs have enjoyed, the Bulldogs this spring must find replacements in certain positions and identify the right guy to replace All-SEC quarterback Dak Prescott.

Mississippi State will be breaking in an all-new defensive staff, led by coordinator Peter Sirmon. The Bulldogs have to maximize their spring practices on defense to make sure schemes are in place, key players have been identified and roles are assigned.

Sirmon is Mullen’s sixth defensive coordinator in eight years in Starkville, so it will be interesting to see how quickly this unit jells and gets on the same page with only a limited amount of time.
