Mississippi State softball continued their winning ways in the February Freezer. The Bulldogs defeated the Salukis of Southern Illinois 5-2 thanks to some clutch hitting that led to a 5 run 5th inning for MSU.
Calyn Adams got the 5th started with a single to left center and was replaced by Carmen Carter who was brought in to pinch run. Emily Heimberger’s single with no outs would advance Carter to 2nd and give Bevia Robinson an opportunity to do some damage.
Robinson responded with a single of her own and a throwing error would allow Carter to come on home and score.
