Mississippi State Salvages Series Finale and Ends 6 Game Losing Streak

Mississippi State entered its series finale with Arkansas reeling, having lost 6 straight games. They didn’t score a lot of runs, but they didn’t need to today. The Bulldogs won 2-1 behind a solid pitching performance from Austin Sexton and some timely hitting. The Bulldogs improved to 23-21 overall and 7-14 in the SEC.

The Bulldogs took an early lead in the fourth inning when Luke Reynolds had a two out RBI single. Reynolds had a nice game at the plate. He had four base hits to go along with the RBI.

Arkansas would knot the score up at 1-1 in the bottom half of the sixth inning.
