Three-star safety Tyrese Ross announced Friday via Twitter that he is committed to Mississippi State.

Ross (6 feet 0, 180 pounds) is from Atlanta Westlake, the same high school that produced Cam Newton.
He also holds offers from Virginia Tech, West Virginia and UCLA, among others.
Ross is Mississippi State’s 13th commitment and the second from a defensive back. He formerly played at powerhouse Jacksonville Christian, then moved to Atlanta after his sophomore season.
