HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Jacob Billingsley threw MSU's second complete game of the season with an 8-1 victory early Monday against the Golden Eagles to force a winner-take-all championship game.
The Bulldogs erased a 1-0 deficit by scoring five times in the third inning. Mangum got the Bulldogs going with an RBI-single. MSU scored the go-ahead run on a balk call.
Lovelady followed with his first home run of his MSU career- a three-run shot to left field.
The Bulldogs stretched the lead on a two-run home run by Rooker in the sixth inning and a sacrifice fly from Lovelady in the seventh inning.
