A member of the 2018 Mississippi State football team has earned some respect from the Associated Press. Yesterday, the Bulldogs were tabbed as the 18th best team in the country by the 2018 AP Preseason Poll.
Today, Jeffery Simmons received a nod from the group.
The Associated Press released their preseason All-America teams today. The Southeastern Conference was heavily represented as a dozen players were put onto the list of the first and second teams. Simmons was placed on the latter.
Jeffery Simmons was named as a second team defensive tackle alongside the Clemson Tigers’ Dexter Lawrence.
