Mississippi State Football: Earning Respect

Down Highway 49 South as you drive from Jackson south to Hattiesburg, you go through a greasy spot in the road called Mt. Olive. Mt. Olive is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Collins then Seminary, MS. In case you don’t remember, Mt. Olive produced a decent quarterback by the name of Steve McNair (2/14/1973 – 7/4/2009), who was ironically called (Air McNair). Another legend in the making was born in Mt. Olive but played his high school football about ten miles down the road at tiny Seminary High School (The Bulldogs).

His name is Nathan Pickering, #22, 6-foot-4, 315 pounds, and he will be a sophomore this year.
