Mississippi State concluded its opening weekend with an extra inning affair with the Georgia State Panthers. The Bulldogs went to 12 innings this afternoon with the visiting Panthers, but ultimately could not produce enough runs to get the victory.

Regan Green got the start for MSU today, and she performed well in her outing. Green threw 5.0 innings, surrendering only 1 run after facing 19 batters. She struck out 4 in her time in the circle.

Green was eventually pulled for Holly Ward, who made her first appearance of the season. Ward wound up throwing for 7.
