Mississippi State football is taking on an in-state opponent in the Alcorn State Braves from the FCS ranks. The Bulldogs, coming off their big upset of a ranked Arizona State squad, are, as you can expect, rolling. It's already a 28-0 game early in the second quarter.
It's hard to take too much stock in games like these against heavily-outmatched opponents, but there are things to watch for. Games like these are a perfect opportunity for young talent to get valuable reps, gain experience, and show why they deserve more playing time for the future. There's no young talent that Mississippi State fans want to see more than true freshman QB Kamario Taylor.
