Mississippi State starting wide receiver Fred Brown is no longer enrolled in school following a violation of the student honor code, a source confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.
The news was first reported by The Clarion-Ledger.
Brown started all 13 games last year and was third on the team in receiving yards with 412. The 6-foot-1 Jackson, Mississippi, native had five career touchdowns entering his senior year.
Mississippi State, which lost De'Runnya Wilson to the NFL draft, is now without two starting receivers from last year's team. Quarterback Dak Prescott is also gone after throwing for 3,793 yards last season.
