The bats came alive as Mississippi State clinched the series against Auburn in a 16-6 win.
Fresh off of a 4-0 victory in game one, Mississippi State exploded in game two, taking down the Tigers 16-6.
Per the norm for Saturday games, Austin Sexton started on the bump for State. In 6 2/3 innings, he gave up six hits, six runs, and struck out eight. It wasn't his best performance by any means, but half of his runs given up did come from a three run shot in the 6th. Daniel Brown replaced Sexton in the 7th and gave up two hits, no runs, and struck out three in 2 1/3 innings of work.
