Mississippi State begins life after Dak in spring game

3. The running game shows promise. Redshirt freshman Nick Gibson and sophomore Dontavian Lee had rushing touchdowns, and each of the five main backs who played ran well at times; that’s something that should make Bulldog fans breathe a little easier heading into 2016. The Bulldogs’ running game disappeared at times in 2015, but must produce this fall to help ease the burden on the new quarterback. While it likely will be another committee approach at tailback, that committee should be better than it was last season.

4. There’s a youth movement at wide receiver.
