The Mississippi State men’s basketball team won twice last Saturday. They won the hearts of millions when they assisted a female motorist they had seen crash her car on Interstate 55 as the Bulldogs’ bus was carrying them to Baton Rouge. The young woman dodged serious injury.
A few hours later; as the bus was heading in the opposite direction on the highway, the Maroon-clad hoopers were celebrating their second victory that day, a 95-78 Win over LSU. Ben Howland’s club had managed to correct several issues that plagued the team previously and five Bulldog players posted double figures.
