The Mississippi State basketball team announced on Twitter it plans to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by wearing special uniforms. The uniforms are a throwback to the 1963 team that participated in what has become known as “The Game of Change”. Here is what the uniforms will look like.

By now you know the story. Mississippi State had some phenomenal basketball teams in the 1950s and 1960s, but they all were denied a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament due to the unwritten rule about playing schools with black athletes.
