Mississippi State Baseball Cruises To 15-4 Win Over Alabama State

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Coming off big weekend against Ole Miss, Mississippi State rode the momentum on its way to a 15-4 win over Alabama State in midweek action Wednesday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

The Diamond Dawgs improved to 18-16 (4-8 SEC), while Alabama State fell to 17-15.

State took a commanding lead early by scoring seven runs in the top of the first inning. Luke Alexander doubled and scored Jake Mangum, Hunter Stovall scored Alexander on a single, Tanner Allen scored on an error, Jordan Westburg hit a two-run homer (first of the year) to left center and Dustin Skelton scored the final run of the frame off a single by Alexander.
